The first post-operative dressing is a highly emotional moment, for the patient certainly, and for the surgeon too. With delicate and precise gestures the surgeon removes the plastering, the patient’s eyes look for the surgeon’s eyes to catch the reactions, finally the mirror to observe the new nose…
In this patient the patches have just been removed, there is still a trace of the glue from the patches on the skin of the nose. Each patient is unique, and in this case the greatest desire was represented by a slight concavity of the back and a lifting of the tip. The patient is happy. Certainly the result at 7 days will not be the final result, the tip will acquire the final position within a few weeks, as well as the junction between nose and lip, or the nasofrontal angle… But a good beginning bodes well… Desires can be realized!
